the order of the 2nd respondent dated 21.04.2014 bearing letter No.

SE/PEDC/PDKT/DFC/AO/RCHT/ D226/2014, directing the petitioner to pay the sum of Rs.34,81,783/- towards the Additional Current Consumption deposit for the period of 2013 - 2014 and quash the same and consequentially direct the 2nd respondent to refund the amount of Rs.34,81,783/-. The writ petition has been filed against the demand of the Electricity board to pay Additional Current Consumption deposit for the year 2014 - 2015.

2. This Court granted interim order on the condition that the petitioner will deposit a sum of Rs.10,000/-. Admittedly, the Additional Current Consumption deposits were revised annually and by this time it has been revised more than 6 to 7 times. Therefore, nothing survives for the adjudication. Accordingly, the writ petition is dismissed as infructuous. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
