Respondents PRAYER: This writ petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus
calling for the records of the first respondent in G.O.Ms.No.44, Finance (Pay Cell) Department, dated 18.02.2014 in so far as it extends the monetary benefit of revision of pay scale from Rs.5,200/20,200 + Grade Pay of Rs.2,000/- to Rs.5,200-20,200 + Grade Pay of Rs.2,400/- with monetary benefits from 01.12.2013 alone and quash the same and consequently direct the first respondent to treat the post of Junior Inspector of Sericulture on par with the post of Junior Assistant/Village Administrative Officer/Drivers and extend the monetary benefits of pay revision with effect from 01.02.2011 / 01.03.2011 to the post of Junior Inspector Sericulture. When this writ petition came up for consideration before this Court on 15.10.2024, there was no representation for the petitioner and the same was listed under the caption "for dismissal" on 21.10.2024.
Today, in spite of the matter being listed under the caption "for dismissal", there is no representation for the petitioner either during prelunch session or post lunch session. In the circumstances, this Court is left with no other option except to dismiss the same for non-prosecution. Accordingly, the writ petition is dismissed for non-prosecution. No costs.
