O R D E R

The petitioner seeks a direction to the respondents 2 & 3 to consider the representation dated 12.06.2023 and pass orders on merits.

2. According to the petitioner, he has been serving as Seerpatham Thangi (carrier) in the third respondent Temple for the past 19 years. It is also stated by the petitioner that previously his father had served as Seerpatham Thangi temple.

3. The petitioner submitted a representation to the respondents 2 & 3 on 12.06.2023 requesting them to appoint him as Kombu Maistry during Temple procession.

4. The grievance of the petitioner is that his representation was not at all considered by the respondents 2 & 3. 2/4

5. Mr. K.Karthikeyan, learned Government Advocate takes notice for the respondents and submitted that there is no post of Kombu Maistry in the concerned temple.

6. In view of the limited prayer made in this Writ Petition, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this Court is inclined to issue a direction to the third respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 12.06.2023 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
