.. Respondents Prayer:- Writ petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of Writ of Mandamus directing the Central

Administrative Tribunal Madras Bench to dispose of the O.A. No.191 of 2016 in a stipulated time.

ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by M.SATHYANARAYANAN, J.] The petitioner made a challenge to the communication of the 1st respondent dated 14.08.2015, in and by which, his request for upgradation came to be rejected, on the ground that there is no reason available for any change in the grading. The petitioner made a challenge to the said communication by filing an Original Application in O.A.No.191/2016, on the file of the Central Administrative Tribunal, Madras Bench.

2. Mr.E.Omprakash, learned Senior Counsel assisted by Mr.M.Sathish Kumar, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that reply statements have been filed and the Second Bench of the said Tribunal also heard the matters and however, further hearing could not

take place and as on date, there is only one Bench is functioning and since the matter in issue is simple in nature and without much complications, prays for appropriate orders for early disposal of the Original Application.

3. Mr.P.T.Ramkumar, learned standing counsel accepts notice on behalf of the respondents 1 to 3 and would submit that the said case is posted for hearing before the First Bench of the Tribunal on 14.12.2020 and leaves it to the Court to pass appropriate orders.

4. This Court, taking into consideration the limited scope of prayer, sought for by the petitioner and without going into the merits of the claim projected by the petitioner in the pending Original Application in O.A.No.191/2016, directs the Central Administrative Tribunal, Madras Bench, to accord priority and give a disposal of the said Original Application, as expeditiously as possible, not later than eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
