According to the learned Standing counsel appearing for the Election Commission, if the petitioner is willing to delete the name from the electoral roll, the petitioner has to submit an application in Form No.8B of Rule 26 of The Registration of Electors Rules, 1960. Therefore, the writ petition is not maintainable.

2.Recording the submission made by the learned Standing counsel appearing for the Election Commission, the writ petition is dismissed.
