Respondent in both Crl.As Common Prayer : Criminal Appeals are filed under Section 374(2) of Code of Criminal Procedure read with Section 36-B of the NDPS Act, 1985 to set aside the conviction and sentence rendered by the Court of I Additional Special Court for Exclusive trial of cases under EC and NDPS Act, Chennai dated 22.05.2023 in CC.No.123 of 2018 in NCB, Chennai Zonal Unit, R.R.No.8 of 2018 in NCB F.No.48/1/06/2018- NCB/Madras. and acquit the accused.

Mr.N.P.Kumar Special Public Prosecutor COMMON JUDGMENT Today, the matters are posted before this Court under the caption 'For Being Mentioned' at the instance of the learned counsel appearing for the appellants.

The learned counsel appearing for the appellants submitted that this Court by an order dated 17.04.2026, while partly allowing the Criminal Appeals, directed the respondent to secure the first accused to undergo the remaining period of sentence. However, it was wrongly typed as "to secure the second accused". Hence he prayed for necessary correction.

Considering the above submissions, the last two lines at the end of the paragraph No.15 in the order dated 17.04.2026, in Crl.A.Nos.712 of 2023 & 1015 of 2024 shall read as follows:-

"15 .................. The respondent is directed to secure the first accused to undergo the remaining period of sentence, within a period of two weeks from today." 4.

Registry is directed to carry out the necessary corrections in the order dated 17.04.2026, in Crl.A.Nos.712 of 2023 & 1015 of 2024 and issue order copy a fresh.
