ORDER

The prayer made in this writ petition is to direct the respondents to pay family pension and other terminal benefits

including gratuity and also provide employment to the petitioner on compassionate grounds.

2.According to the petitioner, her husband viz., P.Senthil @ Senthil Murugan was working as a daily labourer under the third respondent. After enquiry, the Inspector of Labour, Cuddalore passed an order on 20.04.2007 in Claim Petition No.E/5529/2005 to confer permanent status to him. While he was in service, he died on 11.02.2012 due to electric shock. Stating that the petitioner has no source of income to eke out her livelihood, she submitted a representation dated 08.10.2013 to the third respondent requesting to provide an employment on compassionate grounds and also grant family pension and other terminal benefits due to her husband. Finding no response on the same, the petitioner has come up with this writ petition for the aforesaid relief.

3.The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner already submitted a representation dated 08.10.2013 for the relief made in this writ petition and it would suffice, if the said representation is directed to be disposed of by the respondents, within a time frame to be stipulated by this Court, for which, the learned counsel appearing for the respondents has no serious objection.

4.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and having regard to the submissions now made by the learned counsel on either side, this Court directs the respondents to consider the representation dated 08.10.2013 submitted by the petitioner, if not already considered and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5.Accordingly, the writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
