Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the First and Second Respondents to consider petitioner representation dated 14.01.2020 and provide computed pension computing petitioner's past services in other Government Departments as the same benefits be given to the other similarly placed persons in TANGEDCO in the interest of justice. ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st and 2nd respondents to consider petitioner representation dated 14.01.2020 and provide computed

pension computing petitioner's past services in other Government Departments as the same benefits be given to the other similarly placed persons in TANGEDCO in the interest of justice.

2. The petitioner made a representation dated 14.01.2020 before the 1st and 2nd respondents to provide computed pension by taking into consideration of the petitioner's past services rendered in the Government Department as the same benefits be given to the other similarly placed persons in TANGEDCO. However, the said representation is still pending before the respondents. Hence, the instant writ petition has been before this Court.

3. The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents submitted that if the petitioner is satisfied the provisions under the Tamil Nadu Pension Rules, 1978, the said representation would be considered and to take appropriate decision.

4. In view of the above submissions made by the parties and in the interest of justice, this Court is inclined to direct the 2nd respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 14.01.2020 and pass appropriate orders on its own merits and in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, the writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
