This petition is preferred seeking a Writ of Mandamus directing 1st respondent to consider and dispose the appeal petition within a stipulated time, which was filed before him on 10.05.2012 by the petitioner.

2. Today, the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents produced a proceedings of the Director General of Police, Tamilnadu dated 22.06.2016 and submitted that petition dated 22.03.2012 mentioned in the said proceedings and the appeal dated 10.05.2012, which is sought to be disposed of in this Writ Petition, are one and the same and it arises against the same PR No.83/2005.

3. Recording the submission of the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents, this writ petition is closed, as nothing survives for adjudication.
