ORDER

By consent of learned counsel on both sides, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

2. This Writ Petition is filed praying to direct the respondent to receive petitioner document bearing TP/218302499/2025 and register the same.

3. It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that though the petitioner, on complying the required formalities under section 32 of Registration Act, presented the Settlement Deed for registration, the respondent, without assigning any reason, has refused to receive and register the same and has been postponing the registration of the document from pillar to post. Hence, he filed the present writ petition.

4. At the outset, the learned Govt. Advocate appearing for the respondent would submit that there is no refusal slip issued to the petitioner. If the petitioner represents the document, the same would be considered and registered, if it is otherwise in order.

5. In view of the same, taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the limited relief sought for in this Writ Petition, there shall be a direction to the petitioner to resubmit the document for registration before the

respondent and on such submission, the respondent shall register the sale deed, if it is otherwise in order. If for any reason, the respondent is of the view that registration of the sale deed ought to be refused, he would do so by issuing a refusal slip assigning reasons thereto.
