ORDER

The Criminal Original Petition is filed to expedite the investigation in Crime No.1457 of 2017 registered on 29.06.2017 for the offences punishable under Sections 341, 294(b), 354 and 506(1) of IPC.

2. On 04.01.2021, the petitioner herein came up with a similar prayer and this Court directed the respondent to complete the investigation within a period of two months and file the final report. However, this order has not been carried out. The Investigating Officer had thought fit the order passed by this Court is to be ignored. The petitioner woman whose modesty been affected due to conduct of the accused had again approached this Court to pray the police to complete the investigation and file the final report.

3. This Court, after considering the audacity of the Inspector of Police, who has failed to comply the order dated 04.01.2021 directed the Inspector of Police to appear and explain why he has not complied the order of this Court by completing the investigation on the complaint given by the petitioner on 29.06.2017. The person incumbent of 2/4

Teynampet Police Station appeared before this Court and reported that he took charge of this station 1 1⁄2 months ago. As far as this case is concerned, final report filed on 05.07.2024 before the 18th Metropolitan Magistrate, Saidapet, Chennai. Since the present incumbent taken charge only 1 1⁄2 months ago, this Court restrains itself from passing any adverse order as against the Station Officer who has failed to discharge the duty inspite of direction of this Court.

4. With the above observations, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
