..Respondents Prayer : Writ Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the Respondents to consider and pass orders on the Petitioners representation at 20.04.2026 as per the provisions at the Street Vendors(Protection of livelihood Regulation)Act 2014, made for granting permission/Certificate of vending and till such time not to disturb with the running of the Petitioners bunk Shop at Venkatesapuram Colony South Street, Police Booth and ESI Hospital, Ayanavaram, Chennai, Wherein Selling Tea, Coffee.

Mr.Abishek Murthy Standing Counsel Order (Order of the Court was made by G.R.Swaminathan J.) The petitioner is a disabled person and she is running a bunk shop at Venkatesapuram Colony South Street, Police Booth and ESI Hospital, Ayanavaram, Chennai. According to the petitioner, the respondents are attempting to remove the said bunk shop and she made representation not to remove till such time the Vending Committee finalises the application submitted by the petitioner.

2. Since the petitioner has already submitted an application before the Vending Committee for allotment of shop, the respondents are directed to consider the representation dated 20.04.2026 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Till such time, the petitioner shall not be dispossessed. With the above directions, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
