This Writ Petition has been filed seeking direction to the Respondents to determine the compensation of the petitioner's land complying with all the legal requirement in a fair and transparent manner and in accordance with the present guideline value of the petitioner's husbands land to an extent of 1 kani, 10 Kuzhis and 15 Veesamis in 2/6
R.S.No.153/1B-2 with an extent of 1H 70A 39CA and in R.S.No.153/3-B with an extent of 74A 50CA in OS.No.609/Bis/2pt, 3B totally to an extent of 1.10 hectares of land in Polagam Village, Puducherry and remit the payment to the petitioner.

Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate (P) appearing for the Respondents would submit that pending the Writ Petition, Award was passed on 21.07.2025, with respect to the re-determination of compensation under Section 28-A of the Land Acquisition Act, 1894 (in short 'the Act'). He has also produced the proceedings of the 2nd respondent to that effect.
3. Since, Award was already passed with respect to the redetermination of compensation under Section 28-A of the Act, the relief sought for in this Writ petition has become infructuous. Hence, this Writ Petition is dismissed as infructuous. However, it is made clear that if the petitioner is aggrieved by the aforesaid Award, it is open to him to challenge the same in the manner known to law. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscelleneous Petition is closed.
