The petitioner, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 24.05.2023 for the offences punishable under Sections 8(c), 20(b)(ii)(B) and 29(1) of NDPS Act, in Crime No.266 of 2023, on the file of the respondent police, seeks bail.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner has been falsely implicated in this case registered in Crime No.266 of 2023 for the offences under Sections 8(c), 20(b)(ii)(B) and 29(1) of NDPS Act. She is in judicial custody from 24.05.2023. Thus, he prays for grant of bail.

3. In reply, the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) opposed this petition stating that the petitioner has 4 similar cases against her. https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis

It is seen from the first information report that, the petitioner was found in illegal possession of 2 Kgs. of Ganja along with other accused on 24.05.2023 at about 1.00 p.m., near Indira Nagar, 2nd Street, Erukkancheri. Petitioner along with other accused was found in possession of intermediate quantity of Ganja; petitioner has got 4 similar cases which show that, she is a habitual offender. Therefore, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.
