This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the second respondent not to harass the petitioner under the guise of enquiry. 2.
Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials available on record.

According to the petitioner, she owned the property comprised in Paimash Nos.142, 148 and 150, present Survey No.33/3, situated at Padiyanallur Village, Pannervakkam. While being so, the respondents 3 to 15 fabricated certain documents, claimed title over the said property, and also attempted to interfere with the petitioner's peaceful possession and enjoyment of the same. The petitioner also apprehends a thread at the hands of the second respondent, alleging that the second respondent is compelling her to vacate the subject premises and hand over the vacant possession of the subject land to the respondents 3 to 15 herein.

In fact, the petitioner had already filed a petition for the very same direction "not to harass" at the hands of the second respondent in W.P.Crl.No.15347 of 2025. This Court, by an order dated 28.04.2025, recorded that the petitioner is an accused in Crime No.236 of 2025. Consequently, it was held that a direction "not to harass" does not arise, as the petitioner is duty-bound to cooperate with the investigation in Crime No. 236 of 2025. Furthermore, this Court observed that the second respondent has no role to play in the civil dispute pending between the petitioner and respondents 3 to 15. Subsequently, upon another complaint being lodged, the second respondent registered an FIR in Crime No.257 of 2026 for the offences under Sections 189(2), 329(3), 324(4) and 351(3) of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 and it is also pending for investigation.

The learned counsel appearing for the respondents 5 and 6 submitted that the petitioner had earlier lodged a complaint seeking cancellation of patta in favour of the private respondents and the same was rejected. Now, both the petitioner as well as the private respondents are claiming to be in possession and enjoyment of the subject property. When the petitioner is arrayed as an accused in two criminal cases, viz., Crime Nos.236 of 2025 and 257 of 2026, the question of issuing direction "not to harass" does not arise. Any such direction issued by this Court at this stage would amount to interfering with the investigation being conducted by the second respondent.

In view of the above, the prayer sought for in this petition cannot be considered. Thus, the writ petition lacks merits and is liable to be dismissed. Accordingly, this Writ Petition (Criminal) stands dismissed. However, the petitioner and the respondents 3 to 15 are at liberty to approach the Civil Court for appropriate relief in the manner known to law. Further, the second respondent is directed to complete the investigation in both Crime Nos.236 of 2025 and 257 of 2026 in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
