O R D E R

The order of rejection of application for Retail Outlet Dealership is under challenge in the present writ petition.

2. Admittedly, the petitioner submitted an application for award of Retail Outlet Dealership at Kalleripatti District, Salem, under open category, pursuant to the advertisement dated 25.11.2018. The application submitted by the writ petitioner was possessed by the respondents. Field inspection was conducted by the competent authorities. The authorities found that the land offered by the petitioner to run Retail Outlet Dealership is not suitable.

3. Learned counsel for the respondent would submit that electric lines are installed nearby the petitioner's offered land and therefore, the dealership cannot be granted in favour of the writ petitioner. Pertinently, the selection process was completed and the Retail Outlet Dealership was allotted in favour of one Mr.P.Manimurugan, in proceeding dated 2/4

26.09.2020, by the Indian Oil Corporation Ltd.

4. Since the land offered by the petitioner was not found suitable and his application was rejected, now at this length of time, this Court in exercise of the powers of judicial review, cannot grant relief as such sought for in the present writ petition.

5. Accordingly, the writ petition stands dismissed. However, there shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
