The captioned writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Certiorarified Mandamus, assailing the order dated 18.01.2016, whereby the petitioner was placed under suspension pending enquiry.

2. Mrs.R.L.Karthika, learned State Counsel produced a copy of proceedings dated 15.03.2022 passed by the Engineer-in-Chief & Chief Engineer (General), WRD, Chepauk, Chennai-5, wherein it is stated that the petitioner has been dismissed from service pursuant to the judgment of conviction passed by the jurisdictional Court.

3. In the light of the above, the relief sought for in the present writ petition does not survive for consideration. Accordingly, the captioned Writ Petition is dismissed as having become infructuous. However, liberty is granted to the petitioner to challenge the order of dismissal in accordance with law. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petitions are closed. No costs.
