ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 528 of Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, to direct the respondent to file a final report in Crime No.5 of 2026 (on the file of the respondent police) within a stipulated time as fixed by this Court.

2. When the matter came up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) submitted that the case has been registered by the respondent police in Crime No.5 of 2026 for the offences under Sections 191(2), 191(3), 296(b), 115(2), 118(1) & 351(3) of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 and Section 4 of Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Harassment of Women Act, 2002 on 03.01.2026. He further submitted that the investigation in this matter is going on and on completion of the same, the final report will be filed as soon as possible.

3. The submissions made by the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) is hereby recorded.

4. Considering the above submissions of the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) and taking note of the date of registration of the FIR i.e., on 03.01.2026 and the nature of offences in the case, the Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed.
