This petition has been filed to enlarge the petitioner on bail in Crime No. 288 of 2024 on the file of the Inspector of Police, H-1 Washermenpet Police Station, Chennai.
2. The case of the prosecution is that the respondent police found the accused persons along with the possession of 73 grams of Amethaphetamine. Hence, the case.
3. Heard both sides.
4. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has been falsely implicated in this case and also contraband was not recovered from this petitioner. He prays to allow this petition.
5. The learned Government Advocate(Crl. side) submits that the based on the confession of A1 this petitioner implicated in this case as A2. Though there was a small quantity recovered from this petitioner, he has been indulged in huge transaction with consumers and other accused more than Rs.25 lakhs for the purpose of attaining illegal gain from selling the above contraband and it attracts commercial quantity. Hence,
he prays to dismiss this petition.
4. Considering the gravity of the offence, this Court is not inclined to allow this petition. Accordingly, this petition is dismissed. 09.07.2024 pbl
