C.M.P.No.13424 of 2023 in C.M.A.No.4739 of 2019 R.SUBRAMANIAN, J.

and R.KALAIMATHI, J.

The petitioner seeks time to comply with the terms of the compromise. A matrimonial proceeding ended in a settlement, requiring the appellant to pay a sum of Rs.21,00,000/- on or before 30.06.2023. The petitioner has paid a sum of Rs.13,00,000/- before the said date, leaving the balance of Rs.8,00,000/-.

2.Mr.M.Sriram, learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that due to reasons beyond his control, the appellant must have remaining amount of Rs.8,00,000/-, since the sale of immovable property did not fructified.

3.Considering the reasons assigned and the fact that the appellant has paid a major portion of the money payable within the date stipulated under the compromise agreement, we extend the time till 31.08.2023. (R.S.M., J.) (R.K.M., J.) 18.07.2023 kkn https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis
