Respondents Petition filed under Article 226 of The Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the second respondent to issue Kurichchan S.T. Community Certificate to the petitioner's sons namely Vicknesh and Dinesh within the time to be stipulated by this Court in pursuance of the letter in OO.Mu.2243/2018/A4 dated 12.04.2018 issued by the first respondent by considering the representations of the petitioner dated 30.08.2016 and 05.04.2018.

ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by M.M.SUNDRESH, J.) Seeking community certificate to the petitioner's children that they belong to Kurichchan (ST) community, which is a Scheduled Tribe community, the petitioner made a request to the respondents. On receipt of the request of the petitioner dated 05.04.2018, the first respondent has directed the second respondent to conduct the enquiry and send the report. Seeking to expedite the same, the present writ petition has been filed. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

3.Considering the limited scope of the prayer sought for, without going into the merits of the case, a direction is issued to the first respondent to dispose of the representation of the petitioner dated 05.04.2018 within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order after obtaining the report from the second respondent. It is needless to state that before doing so, the petitioner will have to be heard. 4.With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
