We have perused the reply affidavit, the status report filed by the respondents as also the comprehensive report submitted by the Secretary, Tamil Nadu State Legal Services Authority, Chennai. The Secretary, TNSLSA, submits that the representations relates to the period up to 22.02.2016 and in the last one week, forty more cases have been dealt with.

2. What we fail to appreciate is that if this pace of progress can be made one week before the date of hearing, why cannot the same pace to be maintained through out the period. It does suggest things are done only at the last minute when the court hearing date is about to reach.

3. We would like to see what is the further progress in this behalf by the next date of hearing.
