ORDER

(The case has been heard through video conference) The petitioner, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 12.09.2020 for the offence punishable under Sections 147, 148, 341, 294(b), 397, 336, 427 and 506(ii) of IPC in Crime No.113 of 2020, on the file of the respondent police, seek bail.

2. The case of the prosecution as per the de facto complainant Kennadi is that he is a fruit vendor and that on 10.03.2020, the accused came to his shop and demanded rowdy mamool by threatening him and taken an amount of Rs.500/- from his pocket. When he had raised alarm, the accused taken stones from road and hurled against him.

3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is innocent and he has been falsely implicated in this case. He would submit that the petitioner was originally arrested on 10.03.2020 and later, he was produced on PT warrant. Hence, he prays for grant of bail.

4.The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondent police would vehemently oppose stating that the petitioner has got six previous cases against him. He would submit that the petitioner is notorious element and that he is creating problem in the area repeatedly.

5. Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials available on record.

6. Taking into consideration the fact that the petitioner is notorious element and he got six previous cases, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed.
