J U D G M E N T
This Contempt Petition has been filed to punish the Respondent for wilful disobedience of the orders of this Court dated 30.08.2019 passed in W.P.No.6527 of 2020.
2. When the matter is taken up for hearing, learned Government Pleader (Puducherry), by referring to the various documents filed by the respondent annexed in the typeset of papers dated 28.02.2022, has submitted that steps have been taken to prohibit pair trawling of fishing with purse-seine net by any fishing vessels and thereby, the interim order of this Court has been complied with.
3. At this juncture, learned counsel for the petitioner has stated that the Writ Petition may be directed to be listed for disposal at the earliest point of time.
4. Upon hearing the submission of the learned Government Pleader (Puducherry), we are of the view that the Government is keen in implementation of the orders of this Court and therefore, no contempt has been made out in this case.
5. Accordingly, this Contempt Petition is closed. Registry is directed to 2/4
list the main Writ Petition for final hearing before the appropriate Bench in the month of December, 2022.
