ORDER
This Criminal Original Petition has been filed by the petitioners on 19.05.2026 under Section 482 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), 2023, praying to grant an order of pre-arrest bail.
2. The petitioners apprehend arrest at the hands of the respondent-police for the offences punishable under Sections 296(b), 118(1), 115(2) of Bharatiya Nagarik Sanhita (BNS), 2023, in Crime No. 97 of 2026 on the file of the respondent-police.
3. Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, Mr.A.Amarnath, learned Government Advocate, Counsel of Governemnt of Tamil Nadu (crl.side) appearing for the respondent/ police on instructions submits that the respondent police has registered a case against the petitioners for the offence under Sections 296(b) of BNS, 2023 and 3(1)(r) and 3(1)(s) of the Scheduled Castes and the Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989.
4. In view of the above submission, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner seeks permission of this Court to withdraw this petition and to file a fresh application as per law. To that effect, he has made an endorsement in the
case file. The scanned reproduction of the endorsement reads as follows: 5.In view of the endorsement made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, permission is granted to the petitioner to file a fresh application as per law.
