This writ petition has been filed seeking a writ of mandamus directing the respondents 1 and 2 to survey the petitioner's land as per patta Nos.1049, 762 and 1050, comprising S.Nos.215/1A2, 215/1A1 & 215/1A4, 215/1A3, respectively, situated at Virugavoor Village, Kallakurichi Taluk, Kallakurichi District, within a stipulated time.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 and 2 and perused the materials placed on record.

3. The case of the petitioner is that he inherited the subject properties by way of Settlement Deed, Partition Deed and also a Deed of Exchange and had also obtained patta Nos.1049, 762 and 1050. It is the grievance of the petitioner that though he has made an application for survey on 12.12.2023 and also paid necessary fees, no steps has been taken to survey the subject properties. In this regard, he submitted a representation dated 28.12.2023 to the 1st respondent. However, the same has not been considered by the 1st respondent, till date. Hence, the present Writ Petition. 3/5

Considering the limited scope of the relief sought in this writ petition, the respondents 1 and 2 are directed to consider and pass orders on the petitioner's representation dated 28.12.2023 to survey the subject properties and demarcate the boundaries, after giving notice to the neighbouring land owners and any other interested persons, within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
