Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus and to direct the respondent to provide adequate police protection to the petitioner to enable the willing workmen, contract workmen, staff, officers and other managerial personnel and customers to enter and exit the factory premises, to enable the petitioner to send materials for various processes, to receive the materials including raw materials for process work inside the petitioner factory premises, to enable the petitioner to send finished materials for export for customers in abroad and to other customers in India (ingress and egress of men and materials), shifting of machineries for service purpose and ensure that the striking workmen are 500 meters away from the main gate of the factory premises and to maintain law and order and peace in and around the petitioner's factory premises situated at Vaiyampalayam Plant, Vaiyampalayam, Coimbatore-641 110.

O R D E R

This Petition has been filed to direct the respondent police to give police protection to the petitioner. 2.The petitioner seeks police protection to enable the willing workmen, contract workmen, staff, officers and other managerial personnel and customers to enter and exit the factory premises. Now, almost two years have been lapsed and hence, due to the lapse of period, the prayer sought for by the petitioner cannot be granted now. However, the petitioner is at liberty to file a fresh petition, on fresh cause of action, if so advised.

3. With the above observations, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. No costs.
