The petitioner, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 05.03.2024 in Crime No.84 of 2024, for the offences punishable under Sections 8(c) read with Section 21(c), 29(1) of Narcotics Drugs & Psychotic Substances Act, 1985, seeks bail.

2. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is an innocent person and he is no way connected with the alleged offence, whereas, he has been falsely implicated in this case. He further submitted that the petitioner is suffering incarceration from 05.03.2024 and he is ready to abide any stringent condition that may be imposed by this Court. Hence, he prayed for grant of bail to the petitioner.

3. Learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent police raised objection for granting bail to the petitioner stating that, petitioner along with other accused were found in illegal possession of Nitravet -1515 tablets and Tydol -229 tablets and it is a commercial quantity. 4. Considering the quantity of the contraband seized from the petitioner, which is a commercial quantity and it needs detailed investigation and there are six previous cases pending against the petitioner, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.
