This writ petition has been filed to direct the respondents to take appropriate action on the petitioner's request for renewal dated 20.09.2021 and 15.11.2021 with regard to erection of hoardings in about 12 sites mentioned in the proceedings of the first respondent in Na.Ka.No.C3/12269/2021 dated 13.12.2021, Na.Ka.No.C3/12270/2021 dated 13.12.2021, Na.Ka.No.C3/12271/2021 dated 13.12.2021 and Na.Ka.No.C3/10924/2021 dated 21.12.2021 and grant the petitioner permission to erect hoardings in the said sites within a time limit to be Page 2/5
stipulated by this Court.
2. According to the petitioner, he is the proprietor of M/s. Add5 Vision, a firm registered with the Registrar of Firms, Vellore in No.425/2004. In the year 2021, the petitioner approached the first respondent by way of representations dated 20.09.2021 and 15.11.2021 seeking permission to erect hoardings in about 7 sites in Vellore District. The representations made by the petitioner are for renewal and for fresh erection of hoardings.
3. Learned Additional Government Pleader would state that the representation sent by the petitioner to the 1st respondent /District Collector was forwarded to the 2nd respondent and it is pending before the 2nd respondent for consideration.
4. Learned Standing Counsel appearing for the 2nd respondent Corporation would state that the 2nd respondent will consider the representation of the petitioner and will pass orders within the time to be stipulated by this Court.
5. Considering the submissions made on either side, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, the 2nd respondent is directed to pass appropriate orders on the Page 3/5
petitioner's representations dated 20.09.2021 and 15.11.2021 on merits and in accordance with law, preferably within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
