PRAYER:-Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st and 2nd respondents to dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 24.06.2019, to amend the petitioner's name as M.VARUNYAASRI instead of N.M.ABINAYA in the petitioner's original Xth standard CBSE Grade Sheet Roll No:4029408 dated 28.05.2015 in accordance with law.

The petitioner herein has changed her name from N.M.Abinaya to M.Varunyaasri. On 10.05.2017, the change of name has also been duly notified in the Government Gazette. Thereafter, she has submitted an application to the first respondent seeking name correction in the school records. A remainder on 24.06.2019 has also been sent to the first respondent to carry out the correction in the 10th Mark sheet. Since the same has not been considered, the present Writ Petition is filed seeking Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 24.06.2019 and amend the petitioner's name as M.Varunyaasri instead of N.M.Abinaya in the original 10th rank sheet with Roll No.4029408 of the petitioner. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

In the counter affidavit, the first respondent has stated that on receipt of the representation from the petitioner, the first respondent has sought for certain particulars from the second respondent institute, vide memo dated 12.02.2019. The school records were forwarded by the school without attestation. Hence, records duly attested is awaited from the 2nd respondent for further consideration.

3. Now, the learned counsel appearing for the first respondent submits that on receipt of the attested copy of the school records, the first respondent is ready to consider the said representation of the petitioner and order will be passed within a period of three weeks from the date of production of the attested copy of the school records by the second respondent.

4. Recording the same, the first respondent is directed to dispose of the said representation of the petitioner's dated 24.06.2019 within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of the attested copy of the school records from the second respondent.
