Respondents Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondents 1 to 5 to remove the encroachment made in a pond measuring to an extent of 1 Acre and 31 Cents, comprised in Survey No.345/1 situated at Gunimedu Village, Marakanam Taluk, Villupuram District and restore the same for storage of water.

2. On 10.08.2023, the matter was called out. On the said date, none appeared for the petitioner. We adjourned the matter by one week with an observation that if on the next date none appears for the petitioner, the matter would be dismissed.

3. Learned Special Government Pleader submits that eviction in the pond was carried out on 13.08.2022.
