This Criminal Original Petition has been filed praying to quash the FIR registered in Crime No.376 of 2018 on the file of the first respondent police, as illegal.

2. Heard Mr.R.Prabhakaran, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.S.Karthikeyan, learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the first respondent police. None appeared on behalf of the second respondent.

3. Today when the petition is taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the first respondent police on instructions would submit that in respect to the petition mentioned Crime Number, i.e. Crime No.376 of 2018, the first respondent police herein had completed the investigation and sent the same to the Government for obtaining sanction. The said submission is recorded.

4. In view of the above, since the investigation has already been completed, the question for quashing the FIR does not arise. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is closed, after granting liberty to the petitioner to file a petition for quashing the charge sheet. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
