The writ petitioner's nephew is undergoing life sentence. He was sentenced to life imprisonment in S.C.No.229 of 2003 vide judgment dated 31.05.2005 on the file of the Additional Sessions Court (Fast Track Court No.II), Salem. The convict has spent more than twenty two years in connection with that sentence. The petitioner seeks premature release for her nephew. The petitioner submitted an application in this regard on 01.07.2024. 3.
The first respondent is directed to pass an appropriate order on merits in accordance with law on the petitioner's representation dated 01.07.2024 within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
