ORDER

This Criminal Revision Case has been filed against the order dated 04.06.2018 passed in M.C.No.36 of 2014 on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate - 1, Mayiladuthurai.

2. The petitioner is the first respondent in M.C.No.36 of 2014. The first respondent is the petitioner in the maintenance case and had filed a complaint under Section 20 of the Domestic Violence Act. The learned Judicial Magistrate-1, after hearing the matter, allowed the maintenance case. Challenging the same, the petitioner has come up before this Court and filed a present revision case.

3. Criminal Revision will not lie against any order passed under the Domestic Violence Act and the aggrieved party only has to file an appeal before the competent Court. Therefore, the petitioner is at liberty to workout his remedy before the appropriate forum and the period spent for this revision is exempted for the purpose of limitation.

4. Granting such liberty, this Criminal Revision Case is dismissed.
