ORDER

(The case has been heard through video conference) The petitioner who apprehend arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences publishable under Sections 147, 148, 294(b), 307 and 109 of IPC in Crime No.2726 of 2020 seeks anticipatory bail.

2.The learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that injured has been discharged from hospital. Hence, he sought for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner. 3.The learned Government Advocate states that victim is still taking treatment as out patient in the hospital, on account of the nature of injury sustained by him and there are two previous cases pending against the petitioner for the offence under Section 324 and 506(ii) of IPC. One murder case is also pending against him in Crime No.585 of 2016. Therefore, he vehemently opposed for the grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

4.Considering the submission of the learned Government Advocate, the nature of injury appears to be very serious. The said injuries not only attract the provision under section 307 of IPC but other offence inasmuch as the victim was attacked with billhook machete and hence, got injured.

5.Taking into consideration the submission made by the learned Government Advocate and the petitioner has committed very serious offence and the victims have sustained grievous injuries, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
