ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by M.M.SUNDRESH, J.] Seeking a direction to the respondents herein to produce the body and person of the detenu, the present Habeas Corpus Petition has been filed.

2. Unfortunately, even today, there is no representation on behalf of the petitioner. Therefore, we are disposing of the matter after hearing the learned Additional Public Prosecutor and on perusing the status report filed.

3. The status report filed would reveal that the detenu and the petitioner hail from Nepal. The detenu was not conversant with the local language. However, efforts are being made to trace the detenu.

4. In such view of the matter, especially, on a perusal of the status report, we do not propose to keep this petition pending any longer. Accordingly, the Habeas Corpus Petition stands closed while directing the respondents to proceed with the investigation to trace the detenu. As and when the detenu is secured, he should be produced before the jurisdictional Magistrate.
