ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed by the petitioner on 19.05.2026 under Section 482 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), 2023, praying to grant an order of pre-arrest bail.

2. The petitioner apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent-police for the offences punishable under Sections 296(b), 115(2), 351(2) of Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), 2023, read with Section 4 of Tamil Nadu Public Property (Prevention of Damage and Loss Act-1992, in Crime No.203 of 2026 on the file of the respondent-police.

3. Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, Mr.A.Amarnath, learned Government Advocate, Counsel for the Government of Tamil Nadu (Criminal side) appearing for the respondent/ police on instructions submits that the petitioner has been arrested and remanded in judicial custody.

4. In view of the above submission, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner seeks permission of this Court to withdraw this petition. To that effect, he has made an endorsement in the case file. The scanned reproduction of the endorsement reads as follows:
