ORDER

The present writ petition is filed by the petitioner seeking for an issuance of writ of mandamus directing the respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 10.05.2016, in which the petitioner seeks certain information about passing of an award pertaining to acquisition of certain properties of her father-in-law as well as the details of the amount deposited by the respondent.

2. No counter has yet been filed in this petition, though some information is passed on by the learned Government Advocate to the learned counsel for the petitioner. On perusal of the information, the learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that information appears to be inadequate.

3. There available a statute called the Right to Information Act, which under, the petitioner can obtain all necessary information from the authorities concerned within a statutory https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

period of 30 days. The procedure under Right to Information Act, to the extent experience informs, is also expeditious.

4. Therefore, this Court refrains from passing any orders in this writ petition and directs the petitioner to move the concerned authority under the provisions of the Right of Information Act. Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of with no costs.
