The writ petition has been filed by the petitioner seeking a direction to the respondents forbearing them from laying substandard pipes for sewage lines.

2. The grievance of the petitioner is that the 2nd respondent, Chennai Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board was laying underground drainage pipe lines and while laying the pipe lines they were using substandard pipes. Hence, the present writ petition has been filed by the petitioner.

3. Earlier, notice was ordered to the respondents. When the matter was taken up for hearing today Mr.M.Jothikumar, learned counsel appeared on behalf of the 2nd respondent and submitted that the pipe lines has been laid in the year 2014 itself and https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

the entire work has been over four years ago. So far, no complaint has been raised regarding the material used or functioning of the pipe.

4. Considering the above facts and circumstance and since the pipe line has already been laid, the prayer sought for in this writ petition cannot be granted at this stage.

5. Hence, this Writ Petition is dismissed. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is also closed.
