Respondents Petition filed under Article 226 of The Constitution of India praying to issue a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to consider the petitioners' representation dated 01.10.2015 and to direct the respondents to issue patta in favour of the petitioners pertains to the land situated in S.No.133/1 at Nainakadu, Kattuvalavu, Theevattipatti village, Omalur Taluk, Salem District, measuring an extent of 1.80 acres and consequently direct the respondents not to disturb the petitioners peaceful possession and enjoyment of the property.

ORDER

Alleging that the petitioners have been in possession from time immemorial and placing reliance upon various documents including tax receipt, electricity bills, ration card, voter identity card etc., the petitioners made a representation dated 01.10.2015 seeking issuance of patta for the land situated in S.No.133/1 at Nainakadu, Kattuvalavu, Theevattipatti Village, Omalur Taluk, Salem District measuring an extent of 1.80 acres. Seeking consideration of the said representation, the present writ petition has been filed.

2.Considering the above, there will be a direction to the 4th respondent to consider the representation of the petitioners dated 01.10.2015 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

3.With the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
