This writ petition has been filed seeking direction to the respondents to release the amount retained towards the contract work done by the petitioner.

2. Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, on instructions, submitted that pending the writ petition, part of amount had been disbursed to the petitioner, however, entire amount has not been disbursed to the petitioner.

3. Considering the above facts and circumstances and the fact that since part of the amount is disbursed to the petitioner, this writ petition is closed. If the petitioner has still any grievance over the payment, it is always open to the petitioner to work out his remedy in the manner known to law. No costs.
