These petitions have been filed to enlarge the petitioners on bail in CC No. 279 of 2022 pending trial on the file of the learned II Additional Special Judge-NDPS Act, Chennai in connection with the crime No. 2269 of 2021 on the file of the respondent police.

2. The case of the prosecution is that the respondent police found the A2 with possession of 664.8 grams of Nitravet tablets and on seeing the respondent police A1 escaped from the scene of occurrence. Hence, the case.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners have been falsely implicated in this case as if they possessed the alleged contraband. Further, he submitted that contraband was not recovered from the first accused/Elaya @ Elavarasan. Hence, he prays to allow these petitions.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. side) submits that the A1/Elavarasan is having 19 previous cases and A2/Thennu @ Thennarasan is having 14 previous cases. Hence, he raised objection to grant bail.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and also the fact that the contraband seized from the petitioners is commercial quantity and also they are having more than 10 previous cases including 302 IPC case. Hence, this Court is not inclined to allow these petitions. Accordingly, these petitions are dismissed. However, the Trial Court is directed to complete the Trial within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
