O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed to call for the proceedings of the 1st respondent in Roc.No.15143/2008/A4 dated 12.08.2008 and to quash the same.

2. The petitioner had joined the service as Bill Collector on 01.09.1973 and he was promoted as Junior Assistant on 18.12.1985 and then, promoted as Executive Officer Gr II on 29.07.1997. Thereafter, he was further promoted as Executive Officer Gr I on 15.05.2000 and as Executive Officer Selection Grade on 04.08.2005. Since the petitioner had committed certain irregularities, while he was working as Executive Officer, Sriperumbudur Selection Grade Town Panchayat, he was placed suspension by the Commissioner of Town Panchayats, Chennai - 108, in his proceedings in Roc.No.15143/2008/A4 dated 12.08.2008. Hence, the petitioner, challenging the order of the Commissioner dated 12.08.2008, had filed this Writ Petition to quash the same.

3. It is informed before this Court that the petitioner died on 30.08.2017, hence, the proceedings initiated against him was abated and nothing survives for further adjudication. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

4. In view of the above submissions, the Writ Petition is dismissed. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
