Prayer: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to pay the 1/5 share in the Award amount of Rs.1,18,62,551.00 towards acquisition of 0.560.0 sq.mts or 6427.84 sq.ft. in Town Survey No.556/14 Block no.10 A, Ward No.3 Chengalpet Town as per the Award No.6 of 2010 dated 31.10.2010 passed by the 1st respondent in implementation of the order passed in W.P.No.3990 of 2011 dated 23.02.2011 in a time bound period.

ORDER

The petitioner's father-in-law's property was acquired and on the demise of her husband, the right to claim the compensation devolved on the petitioner. Seeking a direction for payment of compensation against the Land Acquisition Authority, this Writ Petition is filed.

2.Mr.D.Raja, learned Additional Government Pleader assisted by Mr.Parthipan, Special Tahsildar(Land Acquisition), Inner Ring Road Scheme, Chrompet, Chennai - 600 044 submitted that based on the order passed in W.P.No.3990 of 2011 dated 23.02.2011, the compensation has been paid to the brother-in-law of the first petitioner and that the enquiry is now under way for disbursing the amount to the petitioner.

3.The said statement of the learned Additional Government Pleader is recorded.

4.The second respondent is now directed to complete his enquiry and address the issue raised by the petitioner in this Writ Petition within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
