Mr.Haja Nazirudeen, learned Additional Advocate General appearing on behalf of the petitioners, submitted that writ appeals involving identical issue have been numbered and are pending consideration before this court and, therefore, the delay may be condoned.

Mrs.Dakshayani Reddy, learned Senior Counsel appearing on behalf of respondents to 15, and Mr.M.Loganathan, learned counsel for respondents 1 to 9, have no objection for allowing this petition.

There is no representation on behalf of the tenth respondent.

Considering the fact that appeals involving identical issue are already pending consideration, and in view of the no objection given by learned counsel for respondents 1 to 9 and 11 to 15, the delay of 48 days in filing the appeal is condoned and this miscellaneous petition is allowed.

The Registry is directed to number the appeal, if it is otherwise found to be in order, and list along with W.A.No.1330 of 2024 on 7.8.2024.
