Heard the learned counsels appearing on behalf of the parties concerned.

This Writ Petition has been filed praying that this Court may be pleased to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the 2nd respondentbank to issue the application and to sanction the educational loan, to the tune of Rs.2 lakhs, in favour of the petitioner's minor daughter, to enable her to pursue her MBBS course, from the academic year 2012-13, at the Government Mohan Kumaramangalam Medical College, Salem.

The learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner had submitted that an application, dated 10.9.2012, had been submitted to the 2nd respondent-bank praying to sanction the educational loan, in favour of the petitioner's minor daughter. However, no order has been passed by the 2nd respondent-bank, till date.
4. Per contra, the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the 2nd respondent-bank had submitted that no such application, as claimed by the petitioner, had been received by the 2nd respondent-bank. However, the learned counsel had submitted that, if the petitioner submits a fresh application, it would be considered by the 2nd respondent-bank and appropriate orders would be passed thereon, as expeditiously as possible.

In view of the submissions made by the learned counsels appearing on behalf of the parties concerned, the petitioner is directed to submit a fresh application to the 2nd respondent-bank, with regard to the sanctioning of the educational loan, in favour of the petitioner's minor daughter, to enable her to pursue her MBBS course, from the academic year 2012-13, at the Government Mohan Kumaramangalam Medical College, Salem, within a period of fifteen days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. On receipt of such application, the 2nd respondent-bank shall process the same and pass appropriate orders thereon, within a period of three weeks thereafter. The Writ Petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs. M.P.No.1 of 2012 is closed.
