The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the alleged offence punishable under Sections 167, 467, 468, 471, 477-A & 409 of IPC 1860 [as amended] and 13(2) r/w 13(1)(a) of Prevention of Corruption Act, 2018 [as amended], in Cr.No.2/AC/2024, on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail.
2.The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner along with other accused persons have created fake vouchers and misappropriated the Alampalayam Town Panchayat funds to the tune of Rs.25,03,495/-. Hence, the complaint.
3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner has not committed any offence as alleged by the prosecution and she has been falsely implicated in this case. msrm that may be imposed by this Court. Hence, he prayed to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
4.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) appearing for the respondent police submitted that the petitioner along other accused persons have misappropriated the society funds. He further submitted that the investigation is at initial stage. Hence, he vehemently opposed for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner. 5.Considering the fact that the petitioner has involved in serious offence and the misappropriation of amount was not recovered and also considering the gravity of offence, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
