O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking direction to direct the respondent-Police to complete the investigation and to file a final report in F.I.RNo.33 of 2025 on the file of the respondent Police.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondentPolice and perused the materials available on record.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner has given a complaint as against the accused persons before the respondent-Police. Though cause of action arose in the year 2023, based on the direction of the leaned Judicial Magistrate No.I, Kallakurichi in C.M.P.No.5832 of 2024 vide order dated 08.1.2025, the respondentPolice registered a case as against the accused persons only on 29.01.2025 in Crime No.33 of 2025 for the offences under Sections 147, 294(b), 323, 324, 506(2), 427 and 458 of IPC. The respondent-Police has neither completed the investigation nor filed a final report so far. Hence, the petitioner is constrained to file this criminal original petition.

4. Considering the submissions made by the learned counsel on

either side and also considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court directs the respondent-Police to expedite the investigation and file a final report within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the abovesaid direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
