The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offence punishable under Sections 279, 337 of IPC and 134 (a&b) of Motor Vehicle Act in Crime No.215 of 2023 on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. The petition is filed for anticipatory bail in Crime No.215 of 2023 registered by the respondent police on 12.06.2023. The police has registered the case on receiving intimation from the hospital that, a person got admitted for the injuries sustained in a road accident. Initially the case was registered as hit and run and later, the investigating had revealed that it is an attempt to murder and the petitioner herein, who was on the wheels had motives to kill the injured.

3. The respondent police opposed grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner on the ground that the petitioner is still at large and unless and until he is secured, they cannot complete the investigation and also there are still threats to the injured de-facto complainant. 1/2 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis

4. Considering the rival submissions, this Court is of the view that, it is not a fit case to grant anticipatory bail. Hence, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
