The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offence punishable under Sections 417, 420 of IPC read with Section 15(3) of Indian Medical Council Act 1956 in Crime No.67 of 2023 on the file of the respondent police, seek anticipatory bail.
2. This anticipatory bail petition has been filed by a quack, who practiced allopathy without qualification and based on the complaint received, a team of doctors attached to Joint Director, Medical and Rural Health Service, Vellore District searched the premises of the petitioner and found allopathy medicines used for dispensing. The petitioner is absconding and now seeks anticipatory bail.
3. Considering the nature of the offence, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. Hence, the Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
